NICE TO SEE IT, TO SEE IT, NICE: THE 1970S IN FRONT OF THE TELLY
by Brian Viner

  • I read it between Nov 9 & 11, 2017
  • Genre: NON-FICTION

I wish I’d written this ...

... because it perfectly captured an era.

What an utter joy this book was! I'm near enough the same age as the author and enjoyed every word as he reminisced his way through the UK TV shows of our teens. From Brucie to Eric & Ernie, Kung Fu to The Persuaders, Fawlty Towers to On the Buses, it's all here ... perhaps, in reality, in its faded glory, but in my (and the author's) memory, still shining as brightly as polished gold. The only complaint I have about this book is that it's not twice as long!
